In an effort to unite both Austin community and the University of Texas community, we try to provide opportunities for the both of them to interact. During the month of April, Austin becomes a melting pot for many college students and other spectators as the Texas Relays Invitational comes to town on the University of Texas campus. For the past eight years, our chapter has continuously tried to bring all these different people of various backgrounds together to connect and fellowship. We host our annual Cool Down Community BBQ during the first Saturday of Texas Relays. In no way do we attempt to seek profit from this event because we look at this event as an opportunity to give back to both the communities that have been so generous to us. All food and beverage that we provide is free of charge and for enjoyment of our patrons.
